Mexican Restaurant!

A few days ago, my family and I went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. I had just gotten out of the pool, so I was really hoping the food would be served quickly. So I showered and changed into some presentable clothes and we all set off. The ride there was pretty short, as Florence is a very small town, so we were not in Champaign. For the past few weeks, my dad, sister and I had been in the Carolinas. While my mom was in North Carolina, we were in Florence, SC with our aunt and uncle. When we got there, we were surrounded by cars in the parking lot. We didn’t know why there were so many people on the day, but we went inside anyway. At first, I said to my dad, “I knew it was called Margaritas!”. The reason I said this was because outside it said La Bamba on the sign, but on the door it said Margaritas. The sign outside, however, was not lit up and it was hard to see in the darkness outside. So while we were deciding what to eat, we asked a waitress to tell us what the restaurant was named, but she basically told us exactly what was obvious. And then she said that she didn’t even know! So instantly we thought that why not just take down one of the signs? Even the chairs and the tables said La Bamba on it! But anyway, by then the food had arrived. Finally. I think it took around 40-50 minutes, and I was starving by then. But in contrast to the poor service, the actual food was very tasty. The only bad part about the dinner was that the beef was a little bit chewy and hard to eat. By the time that I had looked outside, however, it was pouring down hard. We felt like we really didn’t want to leave, but it was getting pretty darn late. So we ran outside and quickly hopped into the car. And when we got home, I begged for a final game of cards before we turned in for the night. We played a short game of Rummy and then went up to bed.

I hope you enjoyed that post about La Bamba/Margaritas! If you have not already, please read my other posts and feel free to leave a comment. Happy Reading!
